Mike Weeks, a little bit about me.

I have been involved with photography since 1980 with the main focus being portraits and party photography. Although I would now class myself as an ‘Event Photographer’ I was really doing that years before the term was ever used.

With my formal training in IT and communications the latest technology such as Dye Sub printers and wireless transfer of images from the camera has allowed me to indulge in a number of interests at the same time.

For the last couple of years I have been actively involved in the demonstration of printers such as DNP and giving photographic seminars at such places as the NEC, at the worlds premier photographic show Photokina in Cologne, but I am most at home when I am able to get behind the camera.

Having always liked horses the opportunity to become involved in Equestrian Photography, especially show jumping has provided new challenges. I am as equally at home on a X-country equestrian event as indoors shooting dressage.

If it is not the horses then it is black tie photography or party photography that I can usually be found doing. One of the greatest feelings is when somebody says thanks, you made me look great – I do my best. Of course we should not forget School Prom Photography and the fact that you are usually taking images of a great milestone in somebodys life. These are all related to the family portraits that we photograph.

So whats the point of this blog? It is to keep my customers up to date with what we are doing and anything new that we may be able to offer.
